Start the Christmas season perfectly by heading to the Sunshine Coast and witnessing the lighting of the Hastings Street Christmas tree! Held on November 25, this event will mark the official start of Christmas on the Sunshine as the famous Sunshine Coast shopping spot receives a full makeover for the holidays. Enjoy the wonderful lights, decorations, and the festive atmosphere! There will also be great food, street entertainment, and a special visit from Santa.
The Nambour Community Carols is a must for families each Christmas, offering an incredible day of festive entertainment and lots to enjoy. The festivities begin at 3 pm with the Twilight Christmas Markets, offering over 40 stalls selling Christmas gifts and bargains. Kids will love the great choice of rides and amusements, an interactive animal farm, jumping castles, and more! 6 pm will mark the start of the carolling concert, and at 8 pm don’t miss the fireworks display – make sure to be there on December 9!
Keep the Christmas cheer going with carolling! Yandina will host Yandina Christmas Carols on December 10, featuring an evening of carolling, live entertainment, good food, and Santa Claus himself. For more carolling head to The J Theatre in Noosa Heads, where the talented Noosa Chorale will celebrate their 10th anniversary of Christmas Wassail on December 15 and 16!
The Christmas Boat Parade in Mooloolaba is the biggest annual Christmas event on the Sunshine Coast, and it’s not to be missed! This spectacular event decorates the canals and waterways of Mooloolaba with an incredible procession of boats and floating Christmas lights, so make sure to com early and grab a good view! The Christmas Boat Parade starts and 6.30 pm on December 16.
