Home to the most popular and exciting water sport events in the country, the Sunshine Coast will again be hosting the much-anticipated Noosa Summer Swim.
To be held on 31 January at the Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club in Noosa Heads, the Noosa Summer Swim will again bring you an exhilarating and unique sporting action. The latest addition to the Milk & Co Queensland Ocean Swim Series, this event will again make summer even more bright and fun.
Featuring a wide range of exciting events and competitions, such as a range of popular ocean swimming distances, 2km and 1km, along with a 300m Nippers Surf Dash, the Noose Summer Swim will again gather all the most talented and toughest athletes who are all battling it out for a chance to compete for the overall Noosa Summer Swim Championship. Elite prize money is also up for grabs at every event in the 2015 Series so make sure you give your best shot and compete in both the long course and short course to bring the overall cash prize.
The Noosa 2.0km serves as the main event where some of the most talented pool and open water swimmers from all over the country will be competing against each other.
Meanwhile, the Noosa 1.0km short course event is ideal for beginners and less experienced ocean swimmers, starting and finishing in the same location as the 2.0km.
For kids who want to be active and enjoy a fun and healthy race, the 300m Kids Dash is a great opportunity be a part of the open water swimming. They’ll also get the chance to experience the thrill of a beach sprint finish.
The Noosa Summer Swim also presents an incredible and fun Teams Relay format where a team of three will go against celebrities and multisport athletes from around Australia.
