Be in Mooloolaba Beach so you can join the Mooloolaba Mile – the 2nd event in the 2014 Milk and Co Queensland Ocean Swim Series.

Mooloolaba Beach is one of the most exciting summer hotspots in Australia. It is also where all courses of the Queensland Ocean Swim Series will finish.

The Mooloolaba Mile, considered as the main event is  1.6km of iconic open water distance swimming suited for elite swimmers yet is also ideal for beginners as well as novice ocean swimmers. The finish line is at the main beach of Mooloolaba.

The course starts at the South-Eastern end of Mooloolaba and follows an M-shaped path north to the finish line. The first turn is directly situated out from the start near the mouth of the Mooloolah river.

The Mooloolaba Half Mile is perfect for juniors who are trying their skills in the open water. The 800m course can be completed even with little training.

The 300m Kids Dash is a fun and free event perfect for children aged 8 years and older.

Entries for the 2014 Queensland Ocean Swim Series are available online.

For the Half Mile Short Course, competitors must be aged 10 years and older. For the One Mile Long Course, competitors must be 12 years and older.

Those aged between 10 and 17 who wish to enter an event whose distance is greater than a kilometre must provide a written confirmation of their ability to complete the event.

The Mooloolaba Mile Ocean Swim will take place on 16 February 2014 at Mooloolaba Beach, Mooloolaba Esplanade. The event is a short drive from our Coolum Beach Apartments.
