Stretch your muscles, prepare your running shoes, get ready, set and go to the Ironman 70.3.

The Sunshine Coast will be hosting the inaugural Half Ironman – the first in the region – so expect aspects of Mooloolaba’s striking coast to be highlighted.

Competitors will surely take in all the best Mooloolaba has to offer. The run will begin with a swim off the surf beach, then a flat and fast bike course followed by a two-lap course around the Mooloolaba Esplanade. After which, it’s all competitive fun from there.

Ironman 70.3 is the world’s fastest growing triathlon series. The event complements a slew of popular triathlon competitions held across the State a few of which include the following: the Noosa Triathlon Multi-Sport Festival, Cairns Airport Adventure Festival and the Mooloolaba Triathlon.

The event is set to attract more than a thousand competitors and spectators.

Thanks to the idyllic course offered by the Sunshine Coast where athletes will be able to swim for 1.9km, cycle for 90km and run on a 21.1 km course, the area is perfect for those who want to better their physical prowess.

Similarly, our Seachange Coolum is the ideal accommodation option for athletes who want to maintain their strength and stamina thanks to our 25m-lap pool on-site. Plus, we are near walking and cycling tracks, best for those who want to get their adrenaline pumping immediately after waking up.
