On November 8, 6:30pm, and November 9, 10am, Sonia Friedman Productions is bringing “The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark”, or “Hamlet” for short, at the amazing Noosa Arts Theatre.
As Shakespeare’s longest play and English literature’s most powerful tragedy, this much anticipated play in Noosa has an approximately four-hour length to make sure it captures every emotion and every event that happened in the original play.
With the story’s setting in Denmark, Hamlet tells the story of the how Prince Hamlet has to repeat history of how his uncle Claudius murdered his father, King Hamlet, by giving the same fate to his uncle. Claudius seized King Hamlet’s throne after the murder and even married his widow.
Watch Prince Hamlet’s character come alive with the Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game, and Frankenstein at the National Theatre), and with the direction of Lyndsey Turner.
