Do your kids love Santa Claus so much that they can’t wait for Christmas anymore? Then it’s time for you to grant their wish and plan your trip to Cooroy for the annual Christmas in Cooroy event.

Happening December 4, 2015, Friday, from 6pm, and December 5, 2015, Saturday, from 4pm, your kids can catch Santa during the Santa’s Visit on the 11th Christmas in Cooroy. With venues all over the town, the event will not just present Santa Claus, but also showcase free rides, tug of war and sack race games, free face painting, fireworks, live music, and food.

The event will go as follows: By 6pm of the first day, this special pre-Christmas event will start at the Butter Factory Arts Centre coupled up by the awards ceremony for the Cooroy Central Guardian Photographic Competition. By 7pm, the lights of the Ricon Christmas tree will be officially turned on for everyone to marvel at followed by the Shop Window Trail’s launch outside the Club Cooroy.

Let your kids have enough energy for the second day because it is where all the excitement is. From 4pm to 7:30pm of the event’s last day, everyone will go ecstatic at Apex Park. With The Cooroy Rag as the sponsor, free rides are sure to be enjoyed by many with the likes of Big Slide, Bouncy Castles, and T-Cup roundabouts. Then animals will make visitors more excited with the Petting Zoo to be sponsored by John Madill Toyota. Also to take part in the bustling event are The Cooroy Fish ‘n Chips Santa Sack Races, CJ Taxation Services’ free painting, Hope Central Choir, plus tons of satisfying food, drinks, and sideshows everywhere.

While majority of the people will be busy with all the happenings at Apex Park, the Noosa to Hinterland Plumbing Group Santa Race will take place at 4:30pm, and the Bendigo Bank Street Parade at 5pm.

If you think the fun stops at 7:30pm, think again, because live music will soon fill the air with musicians that will be announced pretty soon.
