If you don’t know the first thing about surfing, Coolum Surfing School (CSS) will show you how. CSS is all about having a fun and safe time in the water. Experience the thrill of “walking on water” and conquering a wave.
CSS caters to all ages and sizes. One-on-one or private lessons that last 1.5 hours, 2-hour beginner group sessions, school programs, camp activities, and corporate team building are all available dailythroughout the year.
There are different levels that cater to different needs. Beginners are taught the basics—surf safety, surf etiquette, how to paddle, catch waves, and ride a wave to the beach. Intermediate surfing lessons are for improving and advancing your surf safety skills, improving wave selection, and upgrading your maneuvers. Advanced surf lessons are designed to help you implement the best maneuvers and strategies for surfing in competitions.
All CSS coaches are Level 1& 2 Surfing Australia accredited surf coaches. They all hold a current working with children blue card, ocean bronze, and senior first aid/advanced resuscitation. They are friendly, patient, and highly experienced surfers.
